If you had $1,000 available to put towards making money online, where would you focus your efforts? What if you had $10,000? $100,000?

If I had $1000 I would likely host a great contest with a fabulously extravagant prize to get some exposure for my site, and I would pay for some reviews and links to my site as well.
If I had $10,000 I would do the same but with an even bigger prize and even more links. Plus I would buy a really good laptop with wireless internet so I could blog even when I was not at home.
If I had $100,000 I would get someone to build me a blogging community site and I would pay people to post great blogging tips on the blog there. I would then invest in the some reviews and host great promotional contests to create a buzz.

I would have a product made (eBook, software, etc.), set up a sales page and use PPC to send targeted traffic there. I’d also make it available to affiliate networks.
$10,000 or $100,000 would buy bigger, better products and bigger, better advertising campaigns.

If I had $1000, I’d hold onto it until I learned more about making money online. I think giving that to me now might be a waste.

If I had $1000, I”d set up my home office with all the necessities I’d need to blog full time. There would be nothing fancy, just a little better than what I’ve got right now.
With $10,000, I’d invest part of it, and the rest would be put into getting things for my home office that I now only dream of.
With $100,000, I’d buy a bigger house with a room all my own to turn into a great office and unaccessable to children.

I’m all for building communities and believe in inch wide mile deep. For $1000 I’d target very specific community and use it for promos. But 1K is not much to play with so I would not throw it all out at once.
10K would be pretty nice to throw around. I’d buy email banner ads to collect personal data for resale to various institutions.
100K I know exactly what I would do, but that’s not free info.

with 1k I’d create a quality piece of merchandise (probably a custom designed shirt), or fund a book collection of my cartoons.
with 10k I’d upgrade my computer and probably think about starting a second webcomic.
with 100k I’d quit my job and draw two webcomics and a graphic novel. With a really big smile on my face.

Maybe AdWords or Stumble Upon. May make good use of it to create a contest with ultra attractive prize too. Definitely wouldn’t invest on new blogs as I have not enough time to handle two of my blogs now.
