You are absolutely correct that I will (and have a few times already) recommend your blog. Not to mention you have gained a reader. We need to remember that other blogs are still produced by people, and it is people that will help us get the word about our blogs in many cases.

Thanks for writing this, it is important to say, and as well I felt super special to have been partly responsible for inspiring this post.
