Well, it’s been quite some time since I’ve received a mutual blog review request. Josh over at Miscellania from Josh requested that we exchange reviews, and I thought it sounded like a good idea for each of us.

As the subtitle of his blog makes clear, Miscellanea from Josh offers “random meanderings on blogging, technology, and e-marketing.” As Josh works in the field of online marketing, he seems to have a strong background on the topics covered in his blog.

Browsing through Josh’s blog, I find that he has been blogging non-stop since early 2004, meaning that there is plenty of content for newcomers to peruse through on his blog. Several posts that stand out include an inside look at opportunity relating to niche selection and his thoughts on Affiliate Summit 2006 in Orlando. Although these two posts are somewhat lengthy, Josh’s overall writing style reminds me of a tumblog. He typically provides a quick overview of the key points without dragging on for too long when it comes to the details, often linking to the full article for those who are interested in reading further.

One suggestion I would like to share with Josh is that it can be somewhat difficult to scan his blog. I think having blog posts take on a definitive look (boldface text, large font, different color, etc.), it would help readers to quickly find the information most interesting to them when visiting his blog. It would also be nice to see Josh post more frequently if he has the time to be able to do so.

All things considered, Miscellanea from Josh offers some interesting information on e-marketing from the eyes of a marketing professional with a great assortment of links on the topic.
