Rick,

I can't argue with any of the points your making, since I don't know anything about Dave's service. I'm actually always interested in seeing what services like his have to offer when I read about them, and I would be delighted to take a look at what he has to offer. Unfortunately, I personally can't afford the cost of the service to be able to take a look for myself. As such, the review on John's blog didn't have an effect on me personally since I couldn't afford the service regardless.

If what you state is true, I can't argue about the professionalism of the particular post. I can only say that I have found his content to be meaningful during the timespan that I have been reading his blog and that he does offer quality advice on the topic of making money online. All things considered, I find that it is a good resource that I read daily.

Matt, it is not about a negative review. It is the fact that he didn't review the superapprentice tools I use every day. He basically said "it is a Scam" with no mention of what I was told before I ordered and what I received inside superapprentice. How is saying "Scam" without saying why it is a scam being honest? And I am more than happy with the superapprentice service. Their sa forum says "over deliver" from many members all the way through it. I would not say "Unprofessional review" if they looked at my account and saw the success I am having with Google, and then looked at all the automated tools, and then still thought they should give it a negative review. Dave has told us that the person doing the review was in there around 15 minutes. How can you really do enough DD in 15 minutes to consider yourself prepared for a review that could have an impact on Dave's business. I think Unprofessional is the correct term.

Unprofessional,

When someone orders a review through ReviewMe or a similar service, it is not guaranteed that the person performing the review will be in a positive light. Many people will write these reviews positively regardless because they don't want to close the doors on future opportunities. However, John Chow has such a big reputation that writing a negative review is unlikely to hurt his chances at receiving future requests.

As such, I personally found myself appreciating the negative review of Super Apprentice in that it shows John Chow isn't simply accepting every review opportunity to boast random products and services to simply maximize his earnings. Whether or not the opinions of the review accurately reflect the majority of his readers who have/would have used Super Apprentice cannot be known.

Regardless, given that JohnChow.com is a personal blog where he (and other bloggers he invites) blogs his own opinions during reviews, I don't see how you can argue whether or not his content can be considered honest.

"content he has to offer is honest"
I guess if you consider his review of Super Apprentice was unprofessional and totally inaccurate, then I guess his content is honest.
I have lost much respect for John Chow.
