By far the best way for bloggers to make money is by using sites such as PayPal etc and get paid for their posts. The unfortunate downside is that Google in their infinte wisdom has decided to penalize thes bloggers by removing their PR. Even so I continue to do paid posts because I value the money a heck of a lot more than my PR. I use most of these methods.
